Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984), better known as Aisling Bea, is a popular Irish actress writer and comedian. Bea's professional career started in 2011, as a stand-up comedian, after appearing in small part on Irish and British television shows beginning in the year 2009. She was not told the cause of his death until she reached the age of 13. In 2017 she published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also adopted her stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea as well as her sister Sinead were nurtured by their mother Helen (nee Moloney) who was a secondary school teacher, jockey trainer, and an ex-professional jockey.
